Chairman
Faraz grew up in the UK where he studied Development and Politics at the School of Oriental and African Studies. Faraz is an entrepreneur and is a Director of Sulfo Rwanda Industries and Norda Industries (Kenya) which are both FMCG manufacturing enterprises. Faraz is passionate about human flourishing and well-being and he currently teaches Mindfulness and Emotional Intelligence to leaders within organisations. At EDD, Faraz serves as Chairman of the Board.
Vice Chairperson
Sheida grew up in Rwanda and has since lived in Europe and North America. She currently resides in Kenya and visits Rwanda regularly. Sheida holds a Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy and Counseling and has a wealth of experience in this field, specifically working with trauma patients. Sheida oversees all psychosocial activities at the centre and serves on the Board as Vice-Chairperson.
Treasurer
Natarajan is a Chartered cum Cost Accountant from India and has lived in East Africa for over 22 years. He is also one of the founder members of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda. He is actively involved in various social organizations in Rwanda. He has been with the Centre since its inception and is currently the Honorary Treasurer.
Secretary
Urvashi grew up in India. She studied Business Commerce (2003) and Media Economics in 2007. Before moving to Rwanda She was working for an International school in Gujarat, India. And serves on the board of EDD as project Secretary.
Board Member
Vincent is Rwandan and has over seven years of experience working directly with communities in the area of employment and economic development programs of youth in particular. Vincent is currently the East Africa Director for Global Grassroots whose mission is to catalyze women and girls as leaders of Conscious Social Change in their communities. Vincent was previously the Village Director for Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village
Board Member
Gael Murara is a serial entrepreneur and an independent director of EDD. He is currently the Managing Partner of Blue Square Partners, a financial services firm. Prior to that, he founded the first online grocery delivery service in Rwanda, Grocewheels.com which was acquired by DMM.com Gael holds a B.Eng. from Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal and is also an independent board member of Global Risk Advisor, an insurance brokerage firm. Gael is Fluent in English, French and Kinyarwanda.
